Led by second-year head coach Claude Simons Jr., the Green Wave played their home games at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans. Tulane finished the season with an overall record of 3–3 and a mark of 1–1 in conference play, tying for second in the SEC.

In the final Litkenhous Ratings, Tulane ranked 37th among the nation's college and service teams with a rating of 87.3.
