Olympic qualification
Final qualifications for women's tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 6 to February 9.
World Championships
2025 World Ice Hockey Divisions for the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) will take place between December 9, 2024 and May 25, 2025.
World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
- December 26, 2024 – January 5: 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa
- The United States defeated Finland, 4–3 in overtime, to win their second consecutive and seventh overall World Junior Ice Hockey Championship title.
- Czechia defeated Sweden, 3–2 in a shootout, to win the bronze medal.
- Kazakhstan was relegated to Division I – Group A for 2026.

- December 11 – 14, 2024: Division III – Group B in Bangkok
