H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa is a member of the Bahraini ruling family.

Ahmed got a master of business management degree from St. Edward's University in 1986.

Ahmed was director of the Bahrain Stock Exchange. He was appointed as the governor of the Bahrain Monetary Agency from 2002 to January 2005. He served as Minister of Finance from January 2005 until December 2018, He also held the responsibility for overseeing oil and gas affairs between July 2012 and December 2014.

Ahmed was appointed as auditor general at the National Audit Office of Bahrain in May 2019.
