Bertya findlayi (common name mountain bertya) is a shrub in the family Euphorbiaceae, native to Australia and found in the eastern states of Victoria and New South Wales. It is rare in both New South Wales and in Victoria where it is found found only in the Corryong area.

It was first described in 1874 by Ferdinand von Mueller, from a specimen found "In vallibus profundis et at ripas silvaticas fluminis Hume-River, altitudine 2-4000'" (In the deep valleys and on the wooded banks of the Hume-River, at an altitude of 2-4000 feet).

Description

It is a shrub growing up to 2 metres high. Both flower buds and the young shoot tips are viscous. The young branchlets are covered with golden-yellow stellate hairs. The leaves are alternate, and narrow (20–46 mm long and 4–9 mm wide) and have recurved margins. The female flowers are sessile.

Habitat

It is found in moist forests and deep valleys and gullies.
