Description |
English: 'Trafalgar' in the Basin Sheerness Print from Moses' Sketches of Shipping', entitled Trafalgar' in the Basin Sheerness'. Signed, inscribed and dated by the artist. Stern and starboard-quarter view of the ship in ordinary, (reserve) moored in the basin at Sheerness Dockyard. The view is over the lock gate leading out of the basin, with part of the yard buildings on the right. The ship's name is visible on her stern with a smaller vessel to the right. The preparatory drawing (PAE9947) is in the NMM collection. See also PAD7885, PAD7886 and PAD7887. |
