Vytautas (c. 1350–1430) was a Lithuanian medieval king, Grand Duke, Prince of Hrodna and Prince of Lutsk. Tis name has become a popular Lithuanian masculine given name. Vienas populiariausių vardų Lietuvoje. Its Polonized versions are Witowt, however Vytautas the Great is called by the name Witold. Diminutive forms of the name include Vitas,Vytis, Tautas, Tautis, Taučius.
