It also brought populations south, an aspect I can source but see no context within which to source it, as it is covered already within the History section, as well as it's effects on the Daco-Roman continuity theory. Báthory had never reigned Wallachia and Moldavia. Instead, he was purely a nominal suzerain, crowning himself ruler of each three principalities, without ruling but one.
