Thanks for the explanation. What is the postion with regard to 'podcasts' in terms of the BBC's Listen Again facility and Nature's weekly editorial podcasts? I presume as these are not widely spamed, these are OK? ] 20:33, 11 January 2007 (UTC) |

Deletion summaries
Hi, I have noticed that you often provide only a very short abbreviated deletion summary when you delete pages (like "a7" "nn-bio" and similar). Please keep in mind that most users do not know all of Misplaced Pages's speedy deletion criteria by heart. Please consider providing a brief "plain English" explanation without relying exclusively on "CSD jargon". Additionally linking to the relevant criteria so people can read it in full can also be useful, for example ]
. This will help a "layperson" better understand why something was deleted when looking at the deletion log.
Most browsers have a autocomplete or other "form filling" features that allow pre-prepared boil plate texts to be inserted into web forms with just a few keystrokes. This is useful for inserting detailed deletion summaries without having to type out the same things over and over. Please consider looking into it. Thanks. -- Longhair\ 10:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Every little bit helps, and I've noticed less "hassle" in followup messages when the "kill command" is clear ;) Thanks. -- Longhair\ 10:15, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- If you want a free bit of advice, using wiki features only, try this... find an article (take a nn bio for example, there's plenty of them to experiment with :-), edit the article and add the required {{db-bio}} tag, then click preview, but don't save. In bold along the top of the template you have your deletion summary. It works for me ;) -- Longhair\ 10:36, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Squidward vandal you just blocked
Looks like a sock or imitator of Squidward vandal and therefore deserving of an indefblock instead of 24h. :) Syrthiss 20:32, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, looking at this may just be an imitator. Squidward primarily used open proxy ips instead of usernames. Syrthiss 20:54, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Deleted Page
A page titled "Michael Malvasio" was recently deleted by you. I just wanted to take a screen shot of it, just to have, and then you can delete it again. Can you please put it up for 1 more day, so we can take a screen shot. That would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for any inconvience we have caused you. Thank you in advance for your response and help.

An External Link On Veronica Finn's Page
An IP user has added as an external link to Veronica Finn. Although it is a link to a realestate site apparently run by Veronica Finn, is it considered a commercial link? The link actually helps verify some of the information in the article, so I'm wondering if the link is okay or not. Should it be removed? -WarthogDemon 04:19, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks. :) I'll do that. I think it actually might get discussed fairly quickly. Looks like Justin Timberlake is starting to date her again. Oo -WarthogDemon 07:34, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Re: Speedy deletion tagging as nonsense and warning users
Thanks for the advice, but I disagree about those pages being nonsense articles. Although I dont speciffically recall the articles, obviously an administrator agrred that it met the speedy deletion criteria as the articles were deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EMT1871 (talk • contribs)
Your block of 68.78.54.197

I Am Not Sure If I Am Being Reckless
But can you delete Kayla (Orca)? The article had been recently created, then had a db tag placed on it for already having an article at Kayla (whale). It was then changed into a redirect to the second page. I'm thinking it'd be best to have Kayla (whale) moved over there, for consistency's sake. We already have pages like that such as Keiko (Orca). -WarthogDemon 06:49, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- I actually just now noticed that the correct page is Keiko (orca). That being said, is it alright if I just change it into a redirect to that page, and then move the Kayla (whale) page to Kayla (orca)? -WarthogDemon 06:54, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for the confusion. ^_^;;; And thanks. :) -WarthogDemon 08:15, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

"Content Dispute" Dispute
In last edit by IP:63.250.143.9 the vandal included (at line 317) the team motto is "forever purple." This has never been the case. Please reconsider the request. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SERSeanCrane (talk • contribs)

My inclination is to block indefinitely; the account has been used for nothing but vandalism, and has had a string of warnings? If you agree, I'll unblock and block again indefinitely. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 20:51, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I am curious to know under which guideline within WP:EL you keep removing the Counterpoint link: (Rm, again per WP:EL).
