Hey there, I just wanted to drop by and leave a note after your vote on my RFA, and din't want to contribute to the pile on oppose !voter problem that seems to occuring. My main problem with article writing has been that a lot of articles in my area of interest (music and social work) tend to be very contentious and as such I stay away. However, if you ever have an article that needs referenced, copy edited, or just a look at by another pair of eyes to look over it, let me know! My RFA

Hey, thanks for participating in my recent RFA. You were amongst a number of editors who considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and as a consequence the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). I am extremely grateful that you took the time to advise me on to improve as a Wikipedian and I'd like to assure you that I'll do my level best to develop my skills here to a point where you may feel you could trust me with the mop.

I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. I hope to bump into you again soon and look forward to serving you and Misplaced Pages in any way I can. Cheers! Re:Thanks

It was my pleasure. :) - Darwinek 22:49, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Death By Gluten

Is there any chance you could salt the above page? It was a very heated debate by the band members and I'm sure it is going to get recreated. Consensus in Afd seamed to go towards salting the page RyanPostlethwaite 23:14, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Why was Death by Gluten removed? It contained actual facts on actual people and an actual disease. With your profession I would think you would be sympathetic to the idea that not enough people are educated on this disease, and bringing the facts out in a humorous way, especially through lyrics and song, is a very good way of getting people to listen. Their were no deceitful facts, no factual errors. Maybe they did throw in a little something extra to make people laugh, but thats the best way to get people to listen. I urge you to repost the article, if it wakes one person up to whats going on in their body, if it makes one person question their digestion and listen to lyrics that get them to realize that they are sick and need to do something about it, isn't it worth it?

Please see WP:NMG. If someone thinks they have celiac disease, they should see a gastroenterologist, not listen to a band called "Death by Gluten". -- Samir धर्म 23:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
It has been reposted, well as response has. Time for a salt yet? RyanPostlethwaite 00:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Much appreciated RyanPostlethwaite 00:12, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Michael Donnelly AfD

Thanks for closing out the Michael Donnelly AfD -- those socks were getting a bit much! Not sure if you noticed, but the AfD was a bundle - the other article is The Mystic Battle Trilogy. If you did see it and just haven't gotten to it yet, my apologies. --AbsolutDan 00:44, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

No prob! Cheers --AbsolutDan 00:56, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

I had to look it up also. See Diazepam#Overdose -- Samir धर्म 02:54, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Delhi FAC comments

Could you please see Blacksun's comments in the FAC? I guess we need some die hard Delhiite to take care of the culture section. Please help. I am also requesting some others. You can communicate with your known people as well. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 04:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

A very Californian RfA thanks from Luna Santin

Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of (97/4/4)! I've never been able to accept compliments gracefully, and the heavy support from this outstanding community left me at a complete loss for words -- so, a very belated thank you for all of your kind words.

I have done and will continue to do the utmost to serve the community in this new capacity, wherever it may take me, and to set an example others might wish to follow in. With a little luck and a lot of advice, this may be enough. Maybe someday the enwiki admins of the future will look back and say, "Yeah, that guy was an admin." Hopefully then they don't start talking about the explosive ArbComm case I got tied into and oh what a drama that was, but we'll see, won't we?

Surely some of you have seen me in action by now; with that in mind, I openly invite and welcome any feedback here or here -- help me become the best editor and sysop I can be.

Again, thank you. –Luna Santin
Glad to see you around, now and then, even if we don't get too many chances to collaborate. Cheers! Luna Santin 12:24, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Samir - I've blocked this user for 1 week for making disruptive edits, hard pov-pushing and consistent incivility - based on WP:POINT, WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA and WP:NPOV. I request you to please review my rationale for this block - if it is indeed justified and properly applied. Rama's arrow 02:50, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Delhi culture

Hi! The subheaders were added only yesterday by SushantGupta. Yes, prose needs improvement. So does citation. More importantly, we have to search for some soul! May be more on Old Delhi culture.--Dwaipayan (talk) 08:55, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

What an image! I didn't expect to see something quite so good added that quickly! Thanks - great work. violet/riga (t) 05:34, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
