The project was first announced on April 13, 2021 when ABS-CBN made an agreement with BBC Studios to do the Philippine adaptation. The first four cast members were revealed on May 7, 2021. The series will be directed by Connie Macatuno, who previously served as the director of Precious Hearts Romances presents: Paraiso (2012–2013).

Casting

During their announcement on May 7, 2021, the cast have been announced for their main roles. Jodi Sta. Maria will play as Dr. Jill Illustre, Zanjoe Marudo will play as the husband David Illustre, Sue Ramirez will play as Lexy Lucero, and Zaijian Jaranilla will play as the son Gio Illustre.
