The attack on Enerhodar is an ongoing military engagement between the Russian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the Kherson offensive which aimed to take control over Enerhodar during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Battle

At 8 AM (UTC +2) Russian forces attempted to enter the city of Enerhodar however were faced by resistance from the Ukrainian army and citizen militias. Fighting lasted for roughly 2 hours until 2 alleged Russian AVs were destroyed by Ukrainian ground forces. The Russian Defense Ministry announced that they captured the city of Enerhodar and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Local citizens unsuccessfully attempted to barricade the path to the plant. Enerhodar's mayor Dmitri Orlov denied that the city and the plant had been captured.
