Hi, everyone. This isn't the most spiffy talk page you will ever see, but it's my belief that less is more. Besides, if the talk page is for talking, why decorate it? Leave me a message if you've got something chewing on your ear, or if you just want to say something to me. Please use the + tab above unless you're replying to a discussion already present, in which case please edit only that section and indent your reply using one more colon (:) than the last person. Also, please remember to sign your posts. Thanks!

Hi, everyone. This isn't the most spiffy talk page you will ever see, but it's my belief that less is more. Besides, if the talk page is for talking, why decorate it? Leave me a message if you've got something chewing on your ear, or if you just want to say something to me. Please use the '''New section''' tab above unless you're replying to a discussion already present, in which case please edit only that section and indent your reply using one more colon (''':''') than the last person. Some notes about my responses:
==Welcome==
* I'll respond '''here''' if:
'''Welcome!'''
** You post a comment here (this will probably get you a {{tl|talkback}} on your page to pop up that wonderful orange bar)
** I've moved a conversation here because it was off the original topic
* I'll respond '''on your page''' if:
** I posted a comment there
* I'll respond '''on the page I posted on''' if:
** I responded to a comment you left on another user's page
** I interjected in an already-ongoing conversation elsewhere

In general, I prefer to keep conversations together, so if I leave a comment on your talk page, I'd prefer to have replies there. However, if you don't want replies there, it's perfectly fine with me to have a back-and-forth between talk pages; I'll just double-post my comments on both my (this) page and yours. Note that I will probably change indent levels for your comment to make the conversation flow, but that's about it. My policy is generally to never interfere with other editors' talk preferences, so I'll generally accommodate whatever you want to do.

I asked in ] about the new policy of userboxes. Please reply here about how existing boxes will be converted to the new policy. --] 04:24, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

:If the proposal is accepted, existing userboxes will be moved to the new <tt><nowiki>Userbox:</nowiki></tt> space – for example, <tt><nowiki>Template:User foo</nowiki></tt> will be moved to <tt><nowiki>Userbox:Foo</nowiki></tt>. Userpages that include the existing userboxes as templates will then need to be edited to point the template links to the new location – for example, <tt><nowiki>{{user foo}}</nowiki></tt> will be changed to <tt><nowiki>{{userbox:foo}}</nowiki></tt>. ::::'''No.''' That's the whole point. Because the logo is copyrighted, its usage on Misplaced Pages must fall in line with fair use policies. ==Re: RealTitle==
I really like your Real Title script, Interiot, and I've used it to replace a Greasemonkey script I used to have. However, I've noticed that when I visit a page like, say, my monobook.js, the title is not "User:Voyagerfan5761/monobook.js", but rather "User:title". Can you fix this? It would make a great script even better! --<span style="padding: 2px; background-color:#000000">&nbsp;<font color="#ffcc66">]</font><font color="#ffffff">^</font><font color="#99ccff">]</font><font color="#ffffff">|</font><font color="#ffff99">]</font><font color="#ffffff">|</font><font color="#cc99cc">]</font>&nbsp;</span> 08:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

:Is ] the specific page you see the problem on? What browser and operating system (windows, mac, linux) are you using? Does "User:Title" appear below the "user page" and "discussion" tabs, or does it only appear at the very top of your browser? --] 08:06, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

::It is the specific page I see it on. I have Firefox 1.5.0.6 on Windows XP. The "User:title" (that's an exact quote) thing appears in the window title and tab, but the title at the top of the page is untouched. Also, the script freezes my browser momentarily, making my computer switch to another application momentarily. The problem does not seem to occur on monobook.css (which actually doesn't exist). --<span style="padding: 2px; background-color:#000000">&nbsp;<font color="#ffcc66">]</font><font color="#ffffff">^</font><font color="#99ccff">]</font><font color="#ffffff">|</font><font color="#ffff99">]</font><font color="#ffffff">|</font><font color="#cc99cc">]</font>&nbsp;</span> 08:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

::: You mentioned you use GreaseMonkey... is there a chance you could try disabling all your greasemonkey scripts, and see if it still happens? If that doesn't work, you might try temporarily blanking your monobook.js (and ctrl+r'ing, of course), and see if it still occurs then. Though I tried to load your monobook.js from my monobook.js (I'm using Firefox 2.0 in Windows XP), and I didn't see the issue. --] 08:17, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

::::I tried loading other users' monobook.js files, but mine was the only one with a problem. Disabling Greasemonkey had no effect. Maybe I'll have to try blanking monobook.js. I'll just back it up to a text file. I'll post again within a few minutes. --<span style="padding: 2px; background-color:#000000">&nbsp;<font color="#ffcc66">]</font><font color="#ffffff">^</font><font color="#99ccff">]</font><font color="#ffffff">|</font><font color="#ffff99">]</font><font color="#ffffff">|</font><font color="#cc99cc">]</font>&nbsp;</span> 08:25, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

::::: Hrm, I think I'm a bit stumped. I haven't heard of any reports of it, and I've done a lot of testing in Firefox 2.0 on XP, and I don't see it on my side. --] 08:33, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

::::::It might be a bug in FF 1.5 or something. I'll see if the problem persists into my upgrade to Firefox 2.0, whenever that might be. Hi, everyone. This isn't the most spiffy talk page you will ever see, but it's my belief that less is more. Besides, if the talk page is for talking, why decorate it? Leave me a message if you've got something chewing on your ear, or if you just want to say something to me. Please use the New section tab above unless you're replying to a discussion already present, in which case please edit only that section and indent your reply using one more colon (:) than the last person. Also, please remember to sign your posts.

Some notes about my responses:

  • I'll respond here if:
    • You post a comment here (this will probably get you a {{talkback}} on your page to pop up that wonderful orange bar)
    • I've moved a conversation here because it was off the original topic
  • I'll respond on your page if:
    • I posted a comment there
  • I'll respond on the page I posted on if:
    • I responded to a comment you left on another user's page
    • I interjected in an already-ongoing conversation elsewhere

In general, I prefer to keep conversations together, so if I leave a comment on your talk page, I'd prefer to have replies there. However, if you don't want replies there, it's perfectly fine with me to have a back-and-forth between talk pages; I'll just double-post my comments on both my (this) page and yours. Note that I will probably change indent levels for your comment to make the conversation flow, but that's about it. My policy is generally to never interfere with other editors' talk preferences, so I'll generally accommodate whatever you want to do.

If you are a classmate of mine, please add the following to the end of your comment/question: Identifier (Fellow Student) ~~~~, where Identifier is either your first name or initials. That way, I can get an idea of who's talking to me. Thanks!
