Berger was born in ] on November 30, 1998. His father, ], is a ] and ] Explorer-in-Residence. His mother, Jacqueline Berger (] Smilg), is a ] in the medical school at the ]. Berger has an older sister, Megan (born 1996).

Berger attended elementary, middle school and high school at ] and graduated in 2016. He went on to receive a ] degree from ] majoring in ] and ] and minoring in ]. He is currently attending the ] to receive a ] degree in film and television production.
