| :Hey, not quite how you used it. The historical present when used in ] is an artistic tense used mostly in novels to create a more dramatic feel, and not suitable for encyclopedic writing. It is, however, suitable in an encyclopedia when used in chronological lists and timelines of events, for example: | |||
