Thanks for your wishes. Wish you the same. Currently I am also in US. So unfortunately end up seeing white snows instead of bright colours of Holi. --] 17:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

== Skyline image ==

You have marked this image ] as GFDL. If this is your original photograph, you need to mention so. If not, then we have to prove that the original work is GFDL. Please reply. ] ] 18:35, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

This image is small and not a representative of the skyline. In absence of a good representative, I suggest using an excellent existing image of mumbai skyline from great powers page. The amount of displacement it makes to the box is almost exactly what is seen in other good city pages like one for chicago. Also copyright issues with this image have already been settled.

--] 20:16, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I understand your enthusiasm in pushing for your skyline image but it is very poor representative of the city skyline. It shows only three major buildings and most of the real state of the image is dedicated to useless water in front. I think http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Mumbai_construction.jpg is a better representative of the skyline. Also as far as pushing the box down is concerned, I dont think thats a biggy if you look at other major city pages - ], ]. No matter how small a image you put above the box, the box is never going to totally visible without scroll (also this is dependent on user screen size) so we might as well remove box visibility as a constraint and put a decent picture up there. do let me know your thoughts on this.

== India Demographics ==

Because of India's rich diversity, no one image can represent all of India's one billion people. That is why I propose selecting a new demographics image every three months. This would allow for a regional balance and would show India as a whole. Many people have agreed that this is the only way to represent India's rich and varied diversity. Since you have voted for a change in the demographics section, I wanted to update you on this proposal. I would love to hear your comments on ]. Thanks so much. Have a great day! ] 23:45, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Saying "I made this picture" is not enough. Did you crop/edit a photo, or are you the photographer. If you're the former, then you need to get permission from the original author. If you come under the latterm you need to state the date, time and location. This image may be put of for deletion if it is not found to be free. ] ] 13:43, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

:Also, if you really took the image, do you have higher resolution versions (that show some EXIF data) available? Right now, the image looks very much like the usual low-res images posted on the Internet web pages. --] 13:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

==Copyvios==

Dear Nikkul, It seems that you may have inadvertently committed a copyvio on the ] page. You had added the text: "Delhi is a cosmopolitan city due to the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural presence of the vast Indian bureaucracy and political system, and expanding economy. There are more than 160 embassies and an ever-growing expatriate population." (See .) This is a direct cut and paste from the website: . In other places, you have directly copied the text from the ] article. What is true for ] is ''not'' true for ], especially demographics. I have therefore reverted your additions. Next time, please paraphrase the material more before you add it to a Misplaced Pages article. Thanks! ]] 05:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

:Hi Nikkul, Thanks for replying. The problem with using the demographics of Delhi for those of New Delhi is that both the populations densities and the ethnicities are different for New Delhi and Old Delhi. For example, Old Delhi is much more crowded than New Delhi; consequently, this increases the population density of Delhi (which included both New and Old Delhis), but not that of New Delhi. In other words, the population density of New Delhi will likely be lower than that of Delhi. Similarly, there are likely more Muslims in Old Delhi in contrast to New Delhi, and that will mean that the percentage of Muslims in Delhi (which includes Old Delhi) will likely be higher than that of New Delhi. For example, I just checked and the population of Delhi is 1,300,000; however, that of New Delhi is only 300,000. Now, it may be that there aren't any statistics compiled only for New Delhi, in which one may have to fall back on the statistics for Delhi. But before one can do that one has to make sure that there aren't any sources about the demographics of New Delhi. Most likely, there should be some sources, try looking not only on Google, but also on Google Scholar and maybe Google Books. If you find something and need help, I will be happy to look at it.

:As for the paraphrasing, you don't have to remove the text from the website I mentioned in my first post above, you just have to paraphrase it adequately, so that it is not considered a copyright violation. So, for example, the original quote is: "Delhi is a cosmopolitan city due to the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural presence of the vast Indian bureaucracy and political system, and expanding economy. There are more than 160 embassies and an ever-growing expatriate population." You could paraphrase it as: "Many ethnic groups and cultures are represented in Delhi, making it a cosmopolitan city. In addition, since Delhi is a seat of political power, a commercial center, and a diplomatic hub, it brings in many expatriates working in many professions, further enhancing its diverse character." Or, something to that effect. If you need help with paraphrasing, please let me know. ]] 16:00, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
