Abe Okpik

Abe Okpik would have been appointed mid way in the 5th Northwest Territories Legislative Council and was re-appointed in the 6th Northwest Territories Legislative Council. I know he served out his full term in the 6th Council until the appointed seats were abolished in the 7th. I do not know however if he tried to run in an electoral district to retain a seat. I suspect he did not because he seemed to be a very popular member despite being appointed, and probably would have won.

I also do not know who he replaced or how the seat prior to his appointment was vacated in the 5th Legislative Council unfortunately.

Interesting thing about Abe, I remember reading somewhere while I was researching that period trying to find out who the territorial council members were that he was called the Arab of the North, but for the life of me I can't remember why. I can take the blame for that, when I was creating the legislative council stubs I forgot to fix the links to the proper titles from the election articles. Cloveious

If you archive it you could section off subjects that are resolved, old, or rude.

Then people could read the posts that are important easier.

All you need is to:

• /archive1 - Resolved (specific questions not relevant anymore)
• /archive2 - Old (inactive posts over 2 weeks or 1 month old)
• /archive3 - Rude (posts specific to bashing, or having foul language)
• /archive4 - Other (????)

just put these: ] around the /archive# part

Deletion of Link on Larry Hagman page

You deleted the link to http://www.idreamoflarry.com from the external links section of the Larry Hagman page. It looks like the edit was in resonse to another link (not mine) being added to the page.

Your comment was link spam. Can you please be more specific? My web site contains one of the most complete lists of Larry Hagman's credits on the web, and it includes references. Although it is a fan site, and I don't try to hide that fact, it is professional in appearance and content and contains no advertising.

I believe http://www.idreamoflarry.com is of interest to people who read the Larry Hagman Misplaced Pages entry, as it contains information about him, including an extensive bibliography section, that is not easily available elsewhere.

Is there a general rule against linking to fan websites? If not, is there something about my website that needs to be changed to make it acceptable as an external link? If there is a Misplaced Pages document that lists standards for external links, can you please let me know where it is?

yes, i am aware of that, i was the one who had originally entered those numbers, but if u check the main page of admtl.com, the website managers posted the new numbers, the official numbers which are 11,434,070 and 213,468. get back to me if u dont understand

Can you please refrain reverting the Khalistan Libertion Force entry as a normal organization? It was a known terrorist group that killed several innocent civilians.
