Born in ], she met her future husband, drummer ], while working as a ballroom singer. The couple married in 1944, and on 12 January 1945, their first child and only daughter, Lesley, was born. Soon, they moved to the ], where their first son, Barry, was born on 1 September 1946. On 22 December 1949, twin boys Robin and Maurice were born. The family later moved back to Manchester. The youngest of the Gibb children, Andy was born on 5 March 1958. Later that same year, the Gibbs immigrated to Australia, where the three oldest sons formed The Bee Gees, which had previously been known as The Rattlesnakes. |
