	The article now contains the word 'district' which is superfluous. There is nothing to confuse it with, and it is not used in outside use, not even in the article. The name is not in accordance with ] and there is no convention that it be named thus. The fact that most districts are named after an urban area and hence have to be disambiguated by the postfix does not mean that it is a standard that has to be adhered to when not necessary. Hi Hemant Dabral,

Examples include Mysore/Mysore district, Dharwad/Dharwad district, Kolar/Kolar district, Bidar/Bidar district, Ernakulam/Ernakulam district, Coimbatore/Coimbatore district, etc. and several others. Here, there are cities/towns with those names as well. So the 'district' suffixes are added to their corresponding district names.

But, in scenarios like Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, etc., there is no city/town with these names.
