Names of films

How do we write the names of articles on films (titles)? Keep it in the transliterated original or in English? --Moldopodo 23:45, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Cinema of Moldavian SSR

User:Biruitorul, it is absurd what you are doing moving this article all around, without ever explaining whatsoever. Talk pages are for this, you know? The article is clearly about cinema in Moldavian SSR. It is even more absurd that you are changing adjectives for the period which is clearly Moldavian, the term "Moldovan" is not applicable, even alternatively with Moldavian, for the period of Moldavian SSR. Nevertheless, by the number of your unexplained edits, you seem to have plenty of obvious knowledge (which you don't even consider useful to share and explain with other editors) and to know a lot about Cinema of Moldova, you are welcome to write an article about it. I will continue the article Cinema of the Moldavian SSR. May be you could contribute to the Maria, Mirabela, since it was a joint co-production of Moldavian and Romanian studios, you could (may be) find some sources and references in Romanian sources.--Moldopodo 10:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

A note on the title

This page has gone through various incarnations, including Cinema of Moldavia and Cinema of the Moldavian SSR. However, I submit the present title is best because Moldova is the current name of the country, even though it was called Moldavia in the past. Just as Cinema of Ukraine also deals with the Cinema of the Ukrainian SSR, so too we should maintain this simple, recognisable title rather than forking one article for every change in regime. In any case, I ask that future moves be made using WP:RM. Biruitorul 18:01, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
