Please provide a reliable REF. I don't beleive you since I have been never been to the place. We here on Misplaced Pages work only on reliable REFS not oral statements. It's a humble request that henceforth you shall not remove Tulu and other local languages from Mangalore related pages. This is silly. The languages mentioned are languages which may be used for commercial or religious purposes. Can English be the nativetongue of anyone in Dharmashtala. Those have no relation with mothertongues. I don't think you have any idea what a native tongue means. The mothertongue is independent irrespective of whichever language you speak. SRI VEERENDRA HEGGADE THE Khaavanda & his FAMILY SPEAKS Tulu-. Tulu has been an internationally Recognised Langauge, unfortunately not recognized in the 8th SCHEDULE OF the INDIAN CONSTITUTION for various geo & socio-political reasons.TULU GETS SUPPORT FROM THE KHAVANDA HIMSELF. The Khaavanda had urged THE CENTRAL GOVT & REQUESTED THE HONORABLE PM TO INCLUDE Tulu in the 8th Schedule of the constitution. The Khaavanda spoke in Tulu when the honorable PM visited SHREE DHARAMSHALA a FEW MONTHS BACK. The Khavanadaa had appealed THE PM to Recognise Tulu by Including Tulu to the 8th Schedule of Indian Constitution.further discussion is open..p my request kindly invite Tulu Sahithya Academy of both the states of Kerala & Karnataka State to understand more ..there are Great Tulu scholars also..
