Her literary agent is Robert Kirby at United Agents. Monica is currently working on her debut novel.

==Awards==
In 1996, Monica won a scholarship from the Reuters Foundation (now Thomson Reuters Foundation) to attend a training course at Green College, Oxford, with Reuters. She was the only British journalist selected for this award, which was open to all media worldwide. The previous year she won a BBC News & Current Affairs sponsored award from the Radio Academy.
