Hello. In reply to the message you kindly left me regarding recent changes that I made (you didn't specify exactly what changes so I'm a little in the dark as to which specific changes you mean), you referred me to the Misplaced Pages MoS. I respectfully point out the following excerpts:
Skype: aniketk06 | |||
"When either of two styles are acceptable it is inappropriate for a Misplaced Pages editor to change from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change." - which I interpret as saying, if an acceptable (as defined in the MoS) style has been used, it should be retained.
⚫ | email: aniketkuwar06@gmail.com — Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 09:22, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
Much of the MoS describes what is acceptable. In the interests of universality and commonality (in my interpretation), this guideline is given:
:I removed the weblink because external links are not permitted in the body of an article, including in the "See also" section where you added it. ] (]) 20:20, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
"Use universally accepted terms rather than those less widely distributed". This in combination with the previous excerpt gives very clear guidance that where an original style has used a less widely distributed term, it is justified and acceptable to correct that term to the more widely distributed term. If you would like to let me know exactly which edit has raised this concern for you, we can have a potentially more constructive and detailed discussion. Thanks.

:The issue is that changing one language variation (such as American spelling) to another language variation (such as British spelling) can be problematic. The Misplaced Pages policy that I shared with you says that topics tied strongly to one region should use that region's spelling and if there isn't a strong connection to one region, the spelling already established in that article should be retained. Therefore, for example, when you changed the established spelling at ] from one language variation to another, and when you changed the spelling in ], an article about an American topic using American spelling, to use British spelling, then you are acting contrary to this policy. Other editors that have consistently violated this policy in the past, as you have been doing in most of your recent edits, have been blocked from editing. ] (]) 13:21, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add |

Proposed deletion of Beauty school (disambiguation)
The article Beauty school (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Disambiguation page not required (WP:ONEOTHER). Primary topic article has a hatnote to the only other use.
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 12:49, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
