Dubrava je sastavni dio grada Zagreba postala 1949. godine, kada je gradska međa pomaknuta s potoka Štefanovca na potok Trnavu. U srednjem vijeku Dubrava je bila crkveni posjed obrastao šikarom i šumarcima, a upravo je zbog toga cijelo područje dobilo ime Dubrava. Rudo Hribar je 1931. otkupio zemljište u Gornjoj Dubravi od Kaptola, a Vladimir Janeković 1935. obavio je parcelaciju , pa se taj prostor i danas naziva ]. U Donjoj Dubravi nije bilo parcelacije, pa je njen izgled drukčiji.

Gornja Dubrava (pronounced [ɡôːrɲaː dǔbraʋa], "Upper Dubrava") is one of the districts of Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the northeastern part of the city and has 61,841 inhabitants (2011 census).
