My concern about your username
Hello, The way, the truth, and the light, and welcome to Misplaced Pages.
I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and am concerned that it might not meet Misplaced Pages's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
You have several options freely available to you:
- If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
- If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Misplaced Pages's dispute resolution process, such as asking for a "third opinion", or requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Misplaced Pages administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
- You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Misplaced Pages:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.
Let me reassure you that my writing here means I don't think your username is grossly, blatantly, or obviously inappropriate; such names get reported straight to Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism or blocked on sight. This is more a case where opinions might differ, and it would be good to reach some consensus — either here or at Misplaced Pages:Requests for comment/User names. So I look forward to a friendly discussion, and to enjoying your continued participation on Misplaced Pages. Thank you again!
Also please don't vandalize pages, including Buggery. I hope you enjoy editing on Misplaced Pages.

- My edit to 'Buggery' was not vandalism. Anyone that types in 'buggery' (and is serious) almost certainly wants 'anal sex'. The way, the truth, and the light 14:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Please tell me what concern it raises. I chose it for no particular reason, certainly no disruptive one. The way, the truth, and the light 14:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I will drop Buggery. However, I just feel your username resembles to closely Jesus. If you read Misplaced Pages:Username policy, You will notice no names of Religious Figures are allowed. I'm not saying I personally take offence to it. I'm just saying the policy says it is inappropriate. What is your opinion. --Random 14:36, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Your re-ordering my talk page is confusing; do you have to? I was not even thinking of Jesus when I chose it, and I'm certainly not here to push a Christian view. My opinion is that I'd like to be able to keep it. The way, the truth, and the light 14:44, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
I know you would like to keep it. Sorry about reworking your page. Did you read the Policy? If you would like, We can request a third party to review the situation.

- Wow! Your username is super. Enjoy your time here. :) - Mr.Gurü (/contribs) 15:22, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure whether that was meant as a joke, but I am fine with review as per username policy. The way, the truth, and the light 15:23, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Some links: Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. I think that the user's name violates relevant wikipedia norms. --Bhadani (talk) 15:46, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Though I am not sure about my opinion but a little doubtful about having such a user name. --Bhadani (talk) 15:51, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Alright. Since we're discussing it anyway, and since you seem to be fine with it, we may as well settle it. Please see here. But at worst they'll make you pick a different name, so, in the meantime please consider this a minor distraction and do carry on with what you were doing! Hey there, I closed the dicussion of your username as allowing it so you need not worry about changing it at this stage. However on a different note, I would like to make you aware of the site's policy on reverting, outlined here: WP:3RR. I suggest you read that, as it has come to my attention that there is a disagreement at Homosexual agenda that you are involved in. Thanks, Viridae 07:52, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Homosexual agenda
- There is absolutely no way the statement "It is commonly believed that the gay agenda will lead to the acceptance of pederasty." passes muster with WP:NPOV. You should discuss this on the talk page rather than simply reverting. JuJube 07:48, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
