There seems to be a very minor disagreement on whether he is "conservative hardliner" or a "fascist". Although I personally consider him a "conservative hardliner", I would like to get opinions of why he might be considered "fascist". Opinions are appreciated. Thanks.--] 20:53, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

:There has been people calling him and his supporters "fascist", yes, I've read these. But taking a look at ], no he is not nationalist or racist and does not support corporatism, but many people believe that he will implement a totalitarian regime (he has mentioned that a civil worker ''must'' believe in Islamic management or should be sacked), will limit political, social, and personal freedoms, and will implement modern propaganda techniques and heavy censorship. ::Hmmm. Yes I agree, by definition that does not make him fascist. People usually have different POV and what they believe will happen. So although some people think he will involve some of the tenets of fascism, I don't think that has been proven yet, so he shouldn't be called fascist. Thanks for your response. --] 21:29, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,
:: Bush emphasizes the importance of maintaining Christian values in his speeches all the time; in some other speeches he directly refers to Christianity. Many seem to think that he is "involved some of the tenets of fascism"... I don't see any refrences to fascism in his article. *looks again*

== Insufficiently sourced reports of arrest ==

The lede is showing this text:

:On 6 January, 2018, '']'' and '']'', both citing '']'', reported that Ahmadinejad had been arrested after expressing support for the protesters in a speech.<ref>{{cite web |url= https://www.timesofisrael.com/report-ex-iranian-president-ahmadinejad-arrested-for-inciting-unrest/ |title= Report: Ex-Iranian president Ahmadinejad arrested for inciting unrest |author= Staff |date= 6 January 2018 |work= ] |accessdate= 7 January 2018 }}</ref><ref name="IBTimesBFearnow">{{cite web |url= http://www.ibtimes.com/who-mahmoud-ahmadinejad-former-iran-leader-arrested-speech-report-says-2638071 |title= Who Is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Such a claim should be in the body, and then summarised in the lede.
The quoted sources do not really provide the sources, merely "The Times of Israel could not independently confirm the report." and the IBT article links to which has text that google translates to:

:Al Quds Al Arabi learned from reliable sources in Tehran that the authorities ordered the arrest of former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during his visit to the city of Shiraz and that the arrest was made with the approval of Supreme Leader Seyed Ali Khamenei after his remarks in Bushehr Described as inciting unrest.

:It was learned that the authorities intended to impose house arrest on him.
"ordering the arrest" is not the same as "arrested" in my opinion.
Perhaps we should wait until more reliable news sources, such as Reuters or the BBC?

Ahmadinejad or Ahmedinejad?

There seems to be some disagreement on the spelling of this fellow's name, though clearly consensus seems to favour the former. Not sure what the paradigm is on transliterated names, but I've removed the "Ahmedinejads" that appear within the article for consistency's sake. Spongebubby (talk) 03:05, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
