Court documents from when Matt sued the band show that Matt and Gerard started the band on or before 1 September 2001. He has also claimed that a lot of the band history is made up lies to make them look better. So this would seem to support this fact.


If sources differ, I have a proposition to clarify. Why aren't we using note templates to note this using sources claiming both locations? ] <sup> ] </sup> 01:18, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
I'd recommend someone making serious changes to the paragraph detailing the beginnings of the band. Or at least to mention at the beginning that there is evidence to suggest the band was formed before 9/11.
