Berengaria (or Berenice; 1 May 1276 – before 27 June 1278) was a member of the House of Plantagenet as the tenth child and sixth daughter of Edward I of England and his first wife, Eleanor of Castile.
Biography
Birth and background
Berengaria was born prematurely on 1 May 1276 at Kennington during the reign of her father, King Edward I (r. 1272–1307). Before her birth, the couple had nine other children, three of whom reached adulthood. Before 27 June 1278, Berengaria had died around the age of two. She was buried at the Westminster Abbey alongside her father and mother.
