U.A.B.J. is a Mexican professional football club based in the city of Oaxaca, it competes in liga mayor Oaxaca, a regional league in the state of Oaxaca. It was founded in 1975. The club represents the Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez de Oaxaca. Its activities began in the Tercera Division de Mexico but has yet to reach the Liga MX.

1970s

U.A.B.J. Oaxaca was founded in 1975 by Julio Ortiz Díaz and took part of the 1975-76 Tercera Division tournament. Its first game was at home against S.U.O.O. that ended in a 1–1 draw. That first year, after 22 games that club had a good season but finished just one point behind S.U.O.O. to advance to the playoff series. During the 1976–77 season the club had its first struggles and finished mid table; this was one reason why the club ended up going on a two-year hiatus. The club finally returned during the 1979–80 season where they finished 8th at the lower part of group 1 centro.
