The ] states, " theory offers a natural explanation of a variety of ] and ] experiments."<ref name="APS_synopsis"></ref> Casey and Anderson's HFL successfully describes these experiments using only one main assumption: that the ], U, of excitations into doubly occupied ] on a particular site is large. Known for

Philip A. Casey (1982) is an American researcher, investor, businessman. He has made important contributions at the intersection of institutional investors, limited partners, and technology platforms. Wells Fargo's acquisition of Analytic Investors and the integration of its technology platforms into Wells Fargo Asset Management were reportedly based on his research and development.

Casey was responsible for the research and development of proprietary technology platforms at Analytic Investors. These platforms were for institutional investors and limited partners. Wells Fargo subsequently acquired Analytic Investors. The bank reportedly acquired the company to expand into high-growth technology-related areas of investment management, including data science, machine learning, and quantitative analysis.

Analytic managed $15 billion in assets under management for institutional investors and limited partners when acquired. Casey joined Wells Fargo with the acquisition. Analytic became part of Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM), the bank's asset management unit with $481 billion in assets under management for endowments, foundations, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds. Casey was subsequently responsible for the research and development of the technology platforms at WFAM.

Casey holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charters. At Stanford Graduate School of Business, he was a researcher focused on technology platforms for institutional investors and limited partners. Casey holds a PhD from Princeton University.
