I've never requested long term protection for an article before, so would like to consult with a respected experienced admin; and while I know you demur on technical knowledge, no one tops you for respect. So, {{article|Alice Walton}} is an article about a notable living person that has a noticeable percentage of recent edits being disruption, namely putting in a traffic stop she was involved in in 2011. The issue is that the subject is one of the wealthiest people in the US, and has also been involved in multiple traffic accidents, including one which broke her leg, and one that killed another person. Those had a noticeable impact (so to speak) so are in the article. Even one which merely resulted in a fine is in the article. The traffic stop, however, did not lead to any charges, so after discussion, the decision has been made to leave it out. But it seems there are a noticeable number of people who believe social justice is the same thing as trying to cause every bit of harm to the extremely rich that they can. Hence the edits.
As you can see from the article history, they aren't that often, a few every month or two, but they and their reversions do make up more than half of recent edits. So, would you advise long term semi-protection, or pending changes protection, or ... just continuing to revert the edits as they are made? --] (]) 00:14, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
