Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium is an international-level hockey stadium located in Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It serves as a significant venue for national and international hockey tournaments and is one of the finest hockey stadiums in the country.

History

The stadium was originally constructed in 1990 and underwent its first major renovation in 1992, under the leadership of The then Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. It was later upgraded and officially inaugurated on August 29, 2009, by then Governor of Jharkhand K. Sankaranarayanan as part of the preparations for the 34th National Games held in Jharkhand. The renovation included the installation of high-quality astro turf imported from Germany, making it a world-class facility for hockey.

The stadium, with a seating capacity of approximately 5,000, is equipped with floodlights for day and night matches, a large screen for live telecasts, and an electronic scoreboard. It features a modern blue astro turf, suitable for hosting international tournaments.
