Page move

The page was moved before without consensus as well. I was moving it back. Enfestid 04:46, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Please see the additional note I left on your talk page. Naconkantari 04:47, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Kelly Moore (non-fiction writer)

Hey. You deleted this page as "biography" with "no assertion of significance," and yet Misplaced Pages has a full section of American true crime authors. (Not to mention countless biographies of un-notable performers and the like.) The article you have deleted THREE times before I had FINISHED "asserting" significance and giving sources, etc. gives information on a best-selling author that you have yet to include on that list.

Ceph

Hi, you deleted the Ceph two times as blatant advertising. Before that I deleted it once as a copyvio. The versions you deleted are copyvio free btw. User:JerkerNyberg seems to be acting in good faith and is wondering what to do. See here and here. I don't know much (basically nothing) about the subject so could you perhaps give hime some hints? Garion96 (talk) 19:53, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Didar Singh Bains

Please consider undeleting Didar Singh Bains. You deleted this under WP:CSD#A7 (No claim of significance or importance). It seems to me that such satemetns in the article as "one of the richest Sikh farmers in North America" "a leading figure in the Sikh community for the last 20 years". "president of the World Sikh organization" and "founder chairman of the World Kabbadi federation" do constitute an assertion of significance. Obviously better sroucing would be needed for this to survive an AfD, but I think these claims ought to be enough to avoid an A7 speedy. DES 23:46, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

User:What love has made of me

Perhaps I'm missing something, but what's so bad about this username? – Luna Santin (talk) 01:33, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Username was blocked for excessive length. Naconkantari 01:34, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
That seems rather draconian... – Luna Santin (talk) 01:37, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Referred to the admin noticeboard. – Luna Santin (talk) 01:52, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi Naconkantari, I've unblocked after this has percolated on AN for a bit. Hope it's okay with you, let me know if it's not. Thanks -- Samir 02:43, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Velvet D'Amour

I'm wondering why you deleted the article a mere 5 mintues after it was written?? I was still in the process of citing references and linking images. If there is some issue with adding models and actresses who are listed in countless media and the IMDB.com, then please send me that Wiki Page so I know the protocal. There are countless others with less merit who still exist on the Wiki. As it stands, the article would prob survive an AfD if discussed by people who actually know about the topic. Should be reinstated for that discussion, at least. AntiVanity 01:42, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Please see WP:DRV. Naconkantari 01:43, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm new to making pages and i didnt know there was a limit on the save page, I was just playing around figuring out how to make it all work. ArtManiac

Deletion of Spyware terminator

I just rewrote that article and I dont think that in any way, shape, or form does it represent advertising. I agree that the previous version at Spyware terminator was something like an advertisement, but this page was brand new and was meant to address that problem. The page mimiced the layout of the Ad-Aware page, and similar information is shown on that page (release date, download.com downloads, release information, basic features, etc.). It also mimics the Spysweeper, Spybot and Windows Defender pages, which still exist and dont seem to have near as much problems as the Spyware terminator page. By deleting Spyware Terminator and letting those other pages live you are holding it to some unknown double standard. Cableguytk 03:51, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Please see WP:DRV. Naconkantari 03:51, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

How to request a review of a deletion. Naconkantari 03:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
This isnt a request for deletion. This is a request for a new article not to be deleted. Cableguytk 03:57, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Kim Amidon

Please consider undelteting Kim Amidon. You deleted this under WP:CSD#A7 (No assertion of significance or importance). I think that the text "She and Wallengren both received together a "star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for their work on the radio." in the article constitutes an assertion of significence sufficent that it should not be deleted via A7. Whether it would/will survive an AfD is of course another matter. DES 05:26, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Kim Amidon. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. DES 06:08, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Liam Hunt

You deleted this under WP:CSD#G1 (Patent nonsense). It is clearly not patent nonsense -- i have no trouble understanding what the article says and means. (Note that PN is limited to content that "is so completely and irredeemably confused that no reasonable person can be expected to make any sense of it whatsoever.") Liam Hunt is an article about a fictional character. The character might be non-notable, and too much of the article is written in an in-universe style, and there is too little real-world context. Those are all things that could be fixed, or if judged non-fixable, might lead to deletion at an AfD. Bit none of them, IMO, is a good reason for a speedy deletion. Please consider undeleting this article, and, if you think it should be deleted, tagging it for prod or afd, so that other editors have a chance to improve the article and debate its deletion. Deletion of X-sample

Please consider undeleting X-sample. You deleted this with the comment "CSD A7: Article about subject that does not assert significance (emphasis added). Now of course A7 does not extend to "subjects" in general, and this is an article about a pseudonym. Furthermore, even if A7 extended to such articles, the assertion that this pseudonym was used by the very notable Eric Clapton is IMO at least a claim of notability. Now at an AfD, this might well be merged into Eric Clapton, or perhaps even deleted. Or it might be kept and improved. I suppose it might even be a hoax. But I don't think it should be speedy deleted for lack of notability. DES 06:06, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

explanation please, I dont get it

you deleted a few pages I did on zoids. That's fine, but I'd like another explanation than "patent nonsense", cuz the pages were blank before, you could at least have left the pictures, how can THEY be "patent nonsense"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sophy Angel (talkcontribs) 07:20, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Enron Scandal/Enron scandal

I didn't make any cut and paste move. I've been trying to remedy what appears to have been a cut-and-paste move by User:Pablosecca. Check the edit histories a bit more carefully. — Swpb 02:45, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

I have moved the page to (hopefully) the correct place. Naconkantari 02:48, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Indeed - how were you able to move it to Enron scandal? When I tried I got a warning that there was already an article there, even though I had redirected that page to Enron Scandal, just as you did. Huh? — Swpb
I deleted the page that was already there and restored it into the history. Naconkantari 02:52, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Of course, admin powers. — Swpb 02:55, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Ron May

Please do not delete the Ron May article again. I was in the middle of asserting the columnist's significance. I contested the nomination for speedy deletion and was only given a few minutes before the page was deleted. That is an unacceptable amount of time for me to fill in the details. Thank you.

Please gather the details before recreating the article, or it will be deleted again. Naconkantari 02:57, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of GoLite

I was wondering why the article was deleted despite putting {{hangon}} on it, and before I had a chance to explain its inclusion..?? Lucien Dray 03:25, 26 June 2007 (UTC) Lucien

The template clearly states "Note that this request is not binding, and the page may still be deleted if the page unquestionably meets the speedy deletion criteria". The page met the criteria for deletion. Naconkantari 03:29, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. What I don't understand, and what I intended to discuss on the Talk page before the article was deleted, is why others felt that the article met the requirements for speedy deletion, and why said shortcomings warranted a full deletion rather than cleanup. The company in question, GoLite, is of similar size to other similar companies that have articles, such as CamelBak and Kelty, and is mentioned in other Misplaced Pages articles, such as the article on Hydration packs, the article on rock climber Ray Jardine, and Primal Quest.
After deletion, I condensed the page into a single paragraph, trying to keep it absolutely factual and neutral, and marked it as a stub for expansion, but you deleted that version as well. The text of that version was:

GoLite is an outdoor equipment and clothing manufacturer based in Boulder, Colorado. It was founded in 1998 by Kim and Demetri “Coup” Coupounas. GoLite designs and manufactures high-end light and ultra-light clothing, footwear, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, hydration packs, and accessories. GoLite products are used for backpacking, hiking, adventure racing, trail running, mountaineering, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and alpinism.

First, can you explain how this version can be construed as an advertisement, and second, what changes would you propose to it for it to not meet the criteria for speedy deletion? Lucien Dray 03:44, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

WikiAir deleted

Why did you delete the article I posted regarding WikiAir without even visiting the site? It is a significant site that is important to a lot of people. I guess you should delete WikiTravel also then.

Please see WP:COI, WP:N and WP:WEB Naconkantari 05:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

La Quinta High School Policy debate deleted

This article is notable because it describes the national champion team of the US Policy debate circuit. Any High School national sport competition would be recognized, so should a speech event. Aspen123 05:59, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Why not just include it in their school's article? Naconkantari 06:01, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Huh?

Can you please tell me why G7 doesn't apply for Rachel Epperly? I am trying to speed up the process of deletion of these articles to reduce the pain felt by myself so I just want it over and done with! PageantUpdater 06:10, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

G7 only applies when you are the only editor to the page. If there are other editors, the page can not be speedily deleted with this reason. Naconkantari 06:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
