	::Eh, I removed the comments and declined it, then blocked the user as they were never actually blocked beforehand. Thanks for the heads up though! Also, if you don't already know, reporting things like that at ] can help, as numerous different admins look there as well! 			:::I usually do report to AIV, though I was thinking that sort of thing may have needed immediate attention. (I found you by going to the Block Log to talk to whomever last blocked someone.) If things are okay though, then that's good to hear. :) Thanks! -] 04:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Your block

Regarding User:Woadlined's block, he only created the first instance of the article. The subsequent versions were by others, and he's lodged an unblock request? Am I missing something or are the other creations by socks? --Steve _(Stephen) 13:18, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I lifted the block. One week is way too harsh for a first offence, especially when the user wasn't warned & didn't recreate the content as far as I can see (do you know better). The reason for blocking - creating nonsense articles isn't in the blocking policy. I can see how it can be disruptive but there hasn't been anywhere near enough rope to justify a seven day block. I've changed Xanther's block from 120 hours to 48 hours. I agree that his persistent edit warring is not appropriate, but a jump from 24 hours to 120 doesn't seem warranted. However, I have warned him via email that the next time that he starts edit warring again, he will be blocked indefinitely. Feel free to contact me with any concerns.
