| The worst racial riots in the city's history occurred when a Puerto Rican motorist was beaten by city police and died in August 1971. Sections of downtown were looted and torched. This caused a great uproar of the Hispanic commmunity in the city. As a result of the riot, the city of Camden, rapidly spiralled to its downfall to become of America's most dangerous cities. | |||
