:Just a brief update. The thread is now at ]. The criterion was eventually changed, as the edit you made seemed to miss a few points about how image libraries operate. I hope the changes didn't alter the intent of what you added. ] 19:42, 28 August 2007 (UTC) | |||

There is also some discussion going on at ]. I wonder if you would be able to advise on the best way to get clarification of the ? The points I've raised concern historical images and some mentions I've seen of a deadline. What I've said over there is as follows:<blockquote>" about this bit of the policy? ''"Such EDPs must be minimal. Their use, with limited exception, should be to illustrate historically significant events..."'' - it says right there: ''"to illustrate historically significant events"''. Also, I've seen people say that there is a deadline of "March 23, 2008" to sort all this out, but in fact that deadline is currently written as a subclause of point 6. ie. '''It only applies to projects without an EDP.''' ''"For the projects which currently do not have an EDP in place, the following action shall be taken By March 23, 2008, all existing files under an unacceptable license as per the above must either be accepted under an EDP, or shall be deleted."'' This may just be a mistake in the layout of the Licensing Policy, but if this is so, it needs to be changed ''and the change widely advertised.''"</blockquote> As well as the 'deadline' confusion, my concern is also over historical images. I would be grateful if you could bring these points to the attention of the board if this needs clarification. ] 19:42, 28 August 2007 (UTC) |

Indian mythological music
have you ever listened to chants of Vedas ? ml:user:Challiyan (please pardon me... copied your userpage. it was simply irresistable)
Thanks Kate. and congrats on your victory. My vote hasn't been a waste afterall. I am an orthodontist practicing in India. never ever studied music. I am all interested in History and history of mankind... just a small time dude..

Creating single-character accounts
Hello. Why are you creating single-character accounts and then using them only to create userpages and add themselves to WP:SLG? WODUP 06:38, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- My curiosity exactly. Jmlk17 06:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- And I third the question. I 06:47, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sheesh, teaches me to answer on only one person's talk page. They're not mine; I'm creating them on request. (They look a little silly, but so do lots of things.) Kat Walsh (spill your mind?) 06:50, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- What purpose could you, thebainer, and Daniel have for creating these? I honestly don't see the see the need to create these silly accounts for no reason (unless there is a reason of course). — Moe ε 06:55, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- (ec)So I can request several usernames be created by respected users, and then you or someone will create them, and then I can use them to be pointy? Where is this fabled request page? To Moe, look at the pages. Or specifically the ones Kat made. It becomes obviousI 06:56, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Peace page, huh? So I suppose we don't have better things to do on Misplaced Pages? Eh.. whatever.. — Moe ε 07:02, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm assuming its a OTRS thing, probably people just asking to have accounts created. Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 03:29, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

G12 discussion at WT:CSD
Hi there. I've started a discussion at Misplaced Pages talk:Criteria for speedy deletion about a clause you added to G12. The thread is at Misplaced Pages talk:Criteria for speedy deletion#G12 needs revising. I'd appreciate it if you could contribute to the discussion and clarify the reasons for the criteria. Apologies if this was covered in a talk page discussion previously. If it was, would you be able to point that out? Thanks. Carcharoth 21:07, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

The criterion was eventually changed, as the edit you made here seemed to miss a few points about how image libraries operate. I hope the changes didn't alter the intent of what you added. Licensing policy clarifications
There is also some discussion going on at WT:NFC. I wonder if you would be able to advise on the best way to get clarification of the Foundation Licensing policy? The points I've raised here concern historical images and some mentions I've seen of a deadline. What I've said over there is as follows:
" about this bit of the policy? "Such EDPs must be minimal. Their use, with limited exception, should be to illustrate historically significant events..." - it says right there: "to illustrate historically significant events". Also, I've seen people say that there is a deadline of "March 23, 2008" to sort all this out, but in fact that deadline is currently written as a subclause of point 6. ie. It only applies to projects without an EDP.
