Hello, | |||
Recently you have removed / deleted photos of Erika Ringor. You stated that the photos where from taken from erikaringor.tripod.com, which in fact Erika Ringor created the tripod profile and page and uploaded her personal images that she owns. So if Erika owns the profile page and is the owner of her personal head shot photos can she post the photos on wiki? Are there any additional steps that need to be made? | |||
She would like to attempt to add her photos again, will they be deleted? |

image names
In regards to my image names as IMG_137.jpg or whatever, I understand in the future to give an idea of what the picture is for other editing users, but I don't really see this as an issue to bring up - it doesn't show on the article so it really shouldn't matter.
Forget Me Nots - Spam Warning -.- Did you even look at the edit before you reverted???????
I would think not, because some information and a link to an alzheimers society page which gives information was what I added - then I realised it was already ON THE PAGE! So I went back and fixed a typo and then added some information about the meaning of the Alzheimers logo - which is a forget-me-not ( the page I edited). I dont even know if this is where I should comment - but it says speak to the user - and I cant see how else to do it. and since your message to me was on my page - I figure that I should put my message to you on your page. NO doubt you will inform me if I am incorrect.
Your recent report to AP:AIV
Thank you for making a report about Andala (talk · contribs · block log) at Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Misplaced Pages and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. In this case your final warning was issued after the last edit to grace churches. If this continues leave another report on WP:AIV, but please also beware of WP:3RR. Any further questions don't hesitate to get in touch. Regards. 10:09, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Elliot(t) Cho
Elliot Cho was deleted, but I copied the discussion on his name over to Talk:Elliott Cho. Perhaps we'll reach consensus there.— Timotab 15:56, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for stepping in as a NPOV editor. The article has undergone a lot of changes by one or more anonymous users on what seems to be a fan-based agenda. Your edits have since been reverted, but I think help from admins is on the way. Thank you very much! --Jacob 06:31, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Reverting Andala's talk page
Hello – While trying to sift through the GGWO saga to see if it needs protection and why, I noticed that a couple of days ago you were reverting Andala's talk page after he/she removed some template warnings and blanked his/her talk page. At one time that was indeed frowned upon and I reported several folks to WP:AIV for it. However, several months ago the general consensus moved away from dealing with it as vandalism. In short, removal of user talk page warnings is no longer considered vandalism or disruption.
The thinking behind the change is that if an editor removes a talk page warning, that means he's seen it, and that's the whole point of the warning anyway. Reverting or re-inserting the warnings after someone has deleted them often inflames an already bad situation, it keeps attention away from the real issues at hand, and it can allow an aggrieved editor to feel like a victim. I've seen such editors use that supposed victimization to (try to) sway others over to their way of thinking, even if one situation has little to do with the other.
I probably won't get into the GGWO discussion because I have a strong opinion for one version over the other, meaning I won't be the most impartial admin and that someone else should help. I did want to give you a heads-up for the next time you see someone blanking or deleting talk page warnings. It used to be a big no-no, but no longer. Thanks - KrakatoaKatie 08:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Take it to WP:SSP or WP:ANI, not WP:RFCU. Before you go to SSP, you might try a request for comment or open a case with MedCab for help solving the dispute. KrakatoaKatie 04:42, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Popski.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Popski.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 01:08, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Failing to assert notability is precisely what the A7 criteria is all about. There isn't any claim in that article that, if true, would meet the notability guideline. That's precisely A7's reason for existence. Erechtheus 01:16, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- I agree that we're dealing with a good faith attempt here. My concern was more for the general policy you seemed to be suggesting in the edit summary. If your check of the topic tends to suggest there may be notability, I'm all for holding off and seeing where the article goes. Erechtheus 01:27, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Certainly, feel free to move to AFD any time you like. Erechtheus 01:36, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
The Commens Dictionary of Peirce's Terms
Re edit at Charles Peirce article. The Commens Dictionary of Peirce's Terms should not be confused with any Commons dictionary. It's got its own Website and everything, check it out http://www.helsinki.fi/science/commens/dictionary.html The word "commens" itself is Peirce's word for that which he also called the "commind". Basically it's com- + mens or "mind". The Tetrast 18:50, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
My Talk Page
Why have you deleted something off my talk page? I had another message there too before yours off someone else... maybe I want more messages than just a hello from you which I didnt really want anyway what with you putting all that other stuff telling me how to use this website. I want my other hello back too so I have more friends than just you. Christopher Noxley-Forris 20:20, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Re those removed images you restored; the copyright there looks iffy. But I'm not sufficiently au fait with image copyright to be sure. I asked if someone at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Visual arts could take a look. Gordonofcartoon 03:30, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Me niether, but I'm not sure either way. They looked as if they were removed by the artist, but it may not have been. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 06:17, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi, the images are all created from scratch by Sarah Coleman, an illustrator by profession, and thus well-versed in copyright law. However, to protect the images from being used by web users in any way whatsoever, I've decided to remove them. Niall O'Dowd
Hi. I removed the prod tag from the Niall O'Dowd article as I tend to think he does pass WP:N, although obviously the article needs a lot of work. I have added some references, in a rough-and-ready manner and I'll try to wikify it during the week; there are certainly a lot of assertions that need to be referenced.
As for the possible COI, I haven't removed that tag, but I have to say that I don't think from the style that there is a COI problem here.
Cheers. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 02:47, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Revert troll posting on User talk:B1atv
Thanks for reverting the little vandalism. I'm personally loathed to remove things of my own user talk page for fear that it appears I am trying to censor criticism, warnings and complaints. I'm perfectly happy for other people to revert though ;-) B1atv 21:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Hyena Article
Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry: Please stop notifying me about the Hyena article. You have no true evidence/proof that anything has evolved. If it were possible, perhaps you could show me before my own eyes evidence/proof. Unfortunately, you cannot. Please do not offend me further. As an end note, Misplaced Pages should support neither evolution nor Christianity, since neither may be correct (though Christianity has more counts than evolution). Evolution IS a THEORY, not a SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN FACT. Evolutionists cannot prove thus far that anything--period--has evolved. Please do not make such naive assumptions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kookywolf (talk • contribs) 21:37, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for pointing this out and being respectful, but as I have mentioned, do not send me any more notices. Also, please show/mention your so-called proof the next time this may come up. May I also add, the process of natural selection would take years for evolution to complete. Also, some fossils such as the Archaeopteryx fossil have been declared forgeries. How, then, are we supposed to believe in your many other fossils which simply look like a species of other animals, not a so-called evolutionary gap. If I have offended you, forgive me, but I will remind you again, do not send me another notice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kookywolf (talk • contribs) 21:53, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Your AWB edits
Hey there, please check your AWB edits. I just caught where <ref name="france"> was capitalised (diff), thus breaking the ref. Might see about fixing it so this cannot happen. Cheers! -- Huntster 22:44, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Candice Hillebrand
I've noticed that an alternate spelling of Candice Hillebrand's first name includes special characters. What would be the standard thing to do: create a redirect of the "special character" name, to this page? Or move her name over there? -WarthogDemon 22:43, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

What the??
Why are you reverting my edits?? A page about a specific Latter Day Saint denomination was recently moved from The Church of Jesus Christ to Church of Jesus Christ (Bickertonite). I am redirecting the links that used to link to this article. It is not appropriate for any of these to link to the generic The Church of Jesus Christ anymore, which itself should redirect to Church of Jesus Christ, which is a disambiguation page. Snocrates 02:04, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry! You read my comment and deleted it without dissenting, so I assumed you agreed with me. Because there are many churches that call themselves "The Church of Jesus Christ", I thought it better to redirect that to the DAB page for christianity as a whole. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 02:23, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's OK. I can see how you could have thought that now, since one of the ones I was changing was History of The Church of Jesus Christ. That may be one of the ones that you are right about being better sent somewhere else, like a page about the history of Christianity or something. Snocrates 02:51, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- Aye, not a problem. I think you're the expert on the subject, so I'll leave your edits alone from now on - make whatever changes you see fit! Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 02:55, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Users have every right to change a page that is up for deletion. In fact, I participated in a recent MfD in which the user managed to keep his page by substantially changing it. I'm not criticizing you, I'm just pointing something out based on something you stated on User talk:Mahmoudahmdeee. -Jéské 23:10, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Lebanese_navy_logo.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Lebanese_navy_logo.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 18:46, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
