No I wouldn't be. Sadly so much of the 2001 stuff is lost forever though. My own guess is that possibly 90% of the contributions logs are gone. ] (]) 11:57, 27 November 2007 (UTC) No I wouldn't be. :That is sad, the loss of all that early history. Do you think you could scrounge up a date for when you became an admin? I'm trying to fill in that gap in your entry ]. You might also want to correct the "September 2001" entry that says that was your first edit, if the actual date was before then, but that isn't so important. Was yours one of the adminships discussed on that mailing list, or do you go back even before that? :-) ] (]) 00:21, 28 November 2007 (UTC) :That is sad, the loss of all that early history. Oh Jeez... Jimbo would be the best source of that. I was in the very first group of user-admins ever appointed, and as Jimbo chose and appointed the group he might remember. Given that Larry Sanger was definitely still around when it happened my best guess is December 2001 or January 2002. It was all done via Misplaced Pages-L, so there might be a record somewhere in there as well. ] (]) 00:25, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

I really don't enjoy free-form discussions on Misplaced Pages, hence I rarely read this page and almost never respond to comments. Comments left here usually get deleted. This is nothing personal, it's a time-management decision.

If you have a comment on an article I am editing, please make it on the discussion page of that article, as I monitor all the discussion pages.

Hi, Manning. Quick question: is User:ManningBartlett another account of yours? It matches the history you describe on your userpage. If so, you should include it in your candidate statement with the following template: *{{usercheck-short|ManningBartlett}}. Thanks! - Mtmelendez 10:11, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Wow - I had no idea that account even existed. It is a relic from the changeover from UseModWiki to MediaWiki (we couldn't have spaces back in the old days) and I had long assumed it was killed in the move. I have since deleted the talk page as there was nothing on it except some ancient bot messages. Manning (talk) 10:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

You'd be surprised how much Misplaced Pages history is recorded. :). - Mtmelendez 11:56, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
