Standards
Further information: Misplaced Pages:Userboxes and Misplaced Pages:Non-free content criteriaDo not include non-free images logos in userboxes; this violates non-free content policy 9: "Non-free content is used only in articles". Such use will eventually result in the editing of violating userboxes. Although such logos may be seen in userboxes elsewhere, those are in violation of the policy as well.
Userbox usage
To include any of the following userboxes on a user page, simple add the desired "code" below. All project members are encouraged to include {{Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Scouting/Userboxes/Scouting WikiProject}} on their user pages.
Anyplace that a userbox template should be displayed without adding the page to the category, such as a talk or project page, just add |categories=no as the last attribute for the template and the template will not add the page to the category.
Adding userboxes to the project
- Projected-related userboxes should be created as project subpages, such as:
Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Scouting/Userboxes/NewBoxName
- See Misplaced Pages:Userboxes#Constructing a userbox for more information on how to create a userbox
- Add {{ScoutingWikiProject|class=NA}} to the userbox's talk page
- Add your the new userbox to the index below. (Use one of the existing entries as a guideline.)
- If the usebox includes a new categoy, then:
- Create the category page: it must be a subcategory within Category:Wikipedians
- Add {{ScoutingWikiProject|class=NA}} to the new Category's talk page
