Copyright violations, yet again

You uploaded Image:ÉDCL.jpg and claimed it was licensed under GFDL . As can be seen on the image itself, the image is copyrighted. I've retagged the image as non-free, and missing rationale. Look, this is pretty simple stuff. Unless you have absolute proof that something is available under a free license, it's not. You must assume it's copyrighted. You've been previously blocked for rampant copyright violations before. Please don't let it happen again. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:32, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Due to your willful violation of copyright and willful removal of warning tags without fixing the problem when you knew better, I've requested you be blocked from further editing until such time as you agree to abide by our image use and fair use policies. Fair use images

Yeah, it's basically impossible to claim that the TAC cast on the tetes a claques page is fair use. It'd be best if you stop re-adding it. -Oreo Priest 20:33, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

I know what you meant by TAC cast. It now seems fair enough, except it should be cropped (the blue space is unnecessary) to about the same resolution as the Willi Waller image on the page. Then its use would be defensible. -Oreo Priest 21:44, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Copyright violations

I understand that our image use policy and fair use policy can be a bit hard to digest, but you really need to stop uploading and editing images until you fully understand them. Can you promise to stay away from images until I or another administrator helps you with regard to this? east.718 at 20:37, February 22, 2008

Yes, I can. I'd like to know everything about uploading images and copyright policy. But, can I just upload images that are entirely my own work(self-made) ? I never had problems with those. --Alex 8194 (talk) 00:12, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, you can upload images that are your own work - this means only pictures that you take yourself, such as the one of your dog. If you take another image and edit it, it's not your own work, the same goes for scanning a CD cover and most everything else. If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
