I promise not to post any text under any images like I did about murdering Americans being good or similar because I see how some may view that in violation of policy. I didn't realize it was such a big deal that I would get blocked for it, so I will not do it again. I just didn't realize Misplaced Pages was so strict on these types of things; although, I should have known because Misplaced Pages is an American organization with many American contributors and America doesn't have real freedom of speech. —]<small>]</small> 04:10, 13 March 2008 (UTC) | I promise not to post any text under any images like I did about murdering Americans being good or similar because I see how some may view that in violation of policy. : It's not just something some might view as a violation. We also have a policy called common sense. It's common sense to not post statements that encourage violence against people. Until you realize ''that'', I don't think you should be unblocked. <small style="font:bold 10px Arial;display:inline;border:#009 1px dashed;padding:1px 6px 2px 7px;white-space:nowrap">] ]/] ''04:17, 13 Mar 2008 (UTC)''</small> | : It's not just something some might view as a violation. ::In what way would my statement be <u>encouraging</u> violence? If I said, "The world would be a better place if Bush was murdered," does that mean I am encouraging violence? No, of course not! It is just my opinion that without Bush the world would be better place. No advocation of violation at all. Same thing applies to what I wrote here. I in no way whatsoever wrote anything that encouraged violence--that is so far-fetched and exergerated...—]<small>]</small> 04:24, 13 March 2008 (UTC) |

I will respond to your comment on my talk page, unless you request otherwise. |
Blocked
You have been blocked from editing for a period of indefinitely for Disruptive editing. This is not a free speech issue. You've shown that you are incapable of quitting while ahead, and you haven't learned from a previous block; trolling, abuse, gloating are all unacceptable and way below the standard we expect of any editor here.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Misplaced Pages's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page:{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:Christopher Mann McKay (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Indefinitely seems a little extreme to me. Blocking a user who makes positive contributions to Misplaced Pages because of an image w/ text on his user page is pretty excessive. Seems like an abuse of admin powers to me. A week/month block seems a lot more reasonable.Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=Indefinitely seems a little extreme to me. Blocking a user who makes positive contributions to Misplaced Pages because of an image w/ text on his user page is pretty excessive. Seems like an abuse of admin powers to me. A week/month block seems a lot more reasonable. |3 = ~~~~}}
If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}}
with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
{{unblock reviewed |1=Indefinitely seems a little extreme to me. Blocking a user who makes positive contributions to Misplaced Pages because of an image w/ text on his user page is pretty excessive. Seems like an abuse of admin powers to me. A week/month block seems a lot more reasonable. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}
If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here
with your rationale:

- I think if you just promised not to repost similar material again you could get unblocked right now. Equazcion •✗/C • 03:55, 13 Mar 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)"This user hates with a passion!" is pretty questionable. "This user believes the world would be a better place if most were murdered :)" (diff) is entirely inappropriate for Misplaced Pages. I can't say whether this block is intended to last forever, or until you convincingly agree to stop that sort of behavior -- I'm inclined to support the latter, if it's possible. – Luna Santin (talk) 03:58, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- I think, if you check this users contributions, you will see a fair amount of rather aggressive POV pushing. I don't see this editor's contribs being particularly valuable, or at least not valuable enough to outweigh the deeply offensive nature of some of his posts. IronDuke 04:03, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Aggressive POV pushing? I think not. You are trying to suppress information about Pipes because it might be viewed by some as negative as it explains his anti-Arab views. —Christopher Mann McKay 04:10, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
