Otto Erich Deutsch (September 5, 1883November 23, 1967) was a Jewish musicologist. He is best known for his — the first comprehensive — catalogue of the works of Franz Schubert, first published in 1951 in English, new edition in 1978 in German. It is from this that the D numbers used to identify Schubert's pieces are drawn.

Following his studies of art history and literature in Vienna and Graz, he worked as a lecturer at the Deptartment of Art History of the University of Vienna and as a librarian at the musical archive of Anthony van Hoboken. He lived in exile in Cambridge, England, from 1939 to 1951, thereafter in Vienna again.

He also wrote many articles on Franz Schubert and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and compiled "documentary biographies" (collections of contemporary documents concerning the subject) on Schubert, Mozart and George Frideric Handel.

Deutsch is interred in an honorary grave of the Vienna Central Cemetery (group 40, no. 12).
