Ellefain was already deleted!

NeoNerd has had it deleted, and I worked hours on that! He has made me angry!(I got payback ,though!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crenshinibon17 (talkcontribs) 01:37, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I swear Ellifain was deleted!

It was, but then it came back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crenshinibon17 (talkcontribs) 01:44, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I will stop.

It is just that I am new to this, and the way the warning tag worded it, it sounded like Ellifain had been deleted. The thing is that I spent hours working on it, and I got angry at NeoNerd. Please forgive me.P.S. This is a sincere apology. Crenshinibon17 (talk) 01:55, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Help me!

Gogo Dodo! Someone did something to my Ellifain article! I can't go to history and fix

it because whenever I try to go to Ellifain, it takes me to Forgotten Realms. You are

my only hope! Please fix it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crenshinibon17 (talkcontribs) 00:23, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

personal page deleted

Hey

I was creating my page (User:Leonardo Erlich) and you deleted it. Can you reconsider? I am creating slowly from scratch.

Thanks, Leonardo —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lerlich (talkcontribs) 20:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Question

This is a question of the same nature as the one above, though a bit different. Every time (this has happened 3 times) I use web reflinks on History of video game consoles (seventh generation), it states that you have deleted the article to remove "personal information", and asks me if I want to re-create it. I don't see such a deletion in any deletion logs, but could you possibly explain to me whats happening? Thanks. --haha169 (talk) 22:43, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

This message appears because the webpywikipedia wasn't able to fill in one of the required timestamps as gets pages in anonymous mode. MediaWiki then assumes the earliest possible date and throws the deletion-recreation message. I have reinstated the banner that informs this as it was knocked out by a MediaWiki software change. — Dispenser 05:35, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

UCI Special Collections links deleted. Why?

Hello,

The Special Collections staff at the University of California, Irvine Libraries has been selectively adding external links to various Misplaced Pages pages to point people to relevant archival collections at our institution. We recently noticed that Gogo Dodo has removed our links (apparently tagging them as spam). These are legitimate links to collection guides that may be of use to researchers. We are new to Misplaced Pages and don't understand what has happened.

Why have our links been removed?

Can you please undo this action?

How can we avoid having our links removed in the future?

Many thanks Cyndi Shein (talk) 23:21, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Cyndi Shein

Thank you for your reply. I will read the recommended pages and hopefully have a clearer understanding of the reasoning behind the decision. Cyndi Shein(talk) —Preceding comment was added at 15:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Quick Reverts!

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
For the most excellent use of anti-vandalism tools! And for being quicker than I am at reverting it! Tiggerjay (talk) 06:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
You are certainly welcome! It can be hard reverting vandalism, not just because there seems to be more vandals than RCP'er, but also because of the flack we take from other editors which don't assume enough good faith on our part and think the WP:OWN. heh... Keep up the great work! Tiggerjay (talk) 07:19, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Another Question

Just wondering, if a user is blocked, but the blocking admin forgets the template, can another user add the template?— dαlus / Improve\ 07:51, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

removal of links

I saw that everything that I had added to wikipedia has been deleted - not only links, but content that I felt added to the pages. (Especially the hotel sleepover part - I worked for over an hour to get those few sentences just right!) I was already working on more content for those few pages, as I am an expert in those areas. I'm glad I hadn't gotten that far.

I apologize. I did not intend to spam anyone, but thought I was offering some great information.

I am very sorry if my information was perceived that way. I would have appreciated a warning before you removed the items of content so I could have just removed the references and left the content. (And if mine was submission was removed, I also probably have issue with why some of the other external links are left on those pages for the 1950's, 1980's and bunco pages.)

Website Pros; Web.com

I ask you to assess the following proposal and to help it administer, because moving and renaming would have to be done.

Tomorrow, June 9th, 2008, Website Pros will change its name to Web.com, a company which it has acquired in 2007.

To not mess things and not overwrite existing articles I suggest to rename the existing article Web.com to Web.com (1995 - 2008) and after that rename Website Pros to Web.com.

The first paragraph of the new Web.com could begin with:

"Web.com is a name that was handed over several times from acquired companies to their new mother companies. From June 9th, 2008, the name Web.com is held by a company which called itself Website Pros from 1999 to 2008. For the history of the ex-Web.com see Web.com (1995-2008)."

What do you think?--Peter Eisenburger (talk) 16:55, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
