Please do not add inappropriate external links to Misplaced Pages, as you did to Bishop Kenny High School. Misplaced Pages is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Misplaced Pages uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 02:09, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Misplaced Pages, as you did to Bishop Kenny High School. It is considered spamming and Misplaced Pages is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Misplaced Pages uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Misplaced Pages will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Please don't place links to your band in the middle of a high school article. Acroterion (talk) 02:19, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Yikes! Then stop, seriously. There's no reason to link to your company on your alma mater's page, and it's definitely considered spam. I don't see that you're notable enough to be a notable alum - sorry about that. Cool job, though, just not notable on Misplaced Pages. Acroterion (talk) 02:29, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Misplaced Pages, as you did in Bishop Kenny High School. Misplaced Pages is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Notability
(Sorry for the duplicate message, but I don't know which ID you will be using the next time you are on.)
Perhaps you have missed all the edit summaries and discussion concerning the addition to notables. Here a reference. http://en.wikipedia.org/Talk:Bishop_Kenny_High_School#Notability
I requested a third opinion, the answer to which is in the above discussion. If this is unsatisfactory, we will enter mediation, a discussion controlled by admins. This can be rather time consuming, but perhaps informative. It might be easier and quicker if you would read WP:NN, WP:FOOT and WP:RELY, if not in their entirety, at least to be familiar with them.
Misplaced Pages may seem like an anarchy to new editors. It isn't. There are rules which everyone, myself included, must follow. Allowing articles to become cluttered with information that is not of interest to many people is a way of diminishing the impact of our encyclopedia. Student7 (talk) 17:42, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
