I'm sorry if I came off as too harsh. I'm not here to troll or rant, I was just offering some guidance. Of course Misplaced Pages can have lists, I'm not saying that you can't have a listed filmography section. It's just that they should not be exact copies of lists from another page, because they should be translated to fit Misplaced Pages's style and needs. You generally do a good job doing that, and you just need to change a few things. First, they should be written in chronological order (past credits to recent credits), and second, they should generally not include credits where they appeared as themselves. A celebrity's numerous appearances on various talkshows are not worth putting down because the list is about their credits as an ''actor''. INeither should ''archival footage'' appearances be put down because those are just a repeat of their previous appearences that are already listed. I would very much appreciate it if you take this into consideration because I'm here to improve your work, not limit it. ] (]) 21:13, 28 October 2008 (UTC) |

Archduke Karl Albrecht of Austria
I see that you have been able to work out the issue with the ancestry template for Karl Albrecht. Please let me know if you require any more assistance--I'm always happy to help! --Caponer (talk) 17:50, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, now I see what you mean (I thought you were saying that the Karl Albrecht template was not working properly). After playing with the article's code for a half an hour, I'm still unable to ascertain why the templates aren't showing up correctly. I even modified the succession boxes at the bottom to see if that was causing a problem, but it isn't. I'll continue to inquire with the template powers that be. --Caponer (talk) 15:49, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Royal articles
I am an inclusionist, but I usually only create articles for princesses who marry sovereign rulers or other major European royals, especially when they have produced issue who are notable individuals. In order to have articles, princesses have to have some measure of notability or else administrators tend to delete them. --Caponer (talk) 15:49, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Online royal sources
GM, there is not an online version of the Almanach de Gotha as far as I know, but there are many more equivalent sites. For general information on births, deaths, full baptismal names, spouses, and issue, Online Gotha (no affiliation with the Almanach de Gotha) and thePeerage by Darryl Lundy. You should also consider joining (for free) the Royals Portal Forum. It was recommended to me by another Misplaced Pages royalty editor as a good source of information for all things royalty. You may post your royalty queries there and members always have wonderful reading recommendations or links to provide you with so that you can expand upon your articles. --Caponer (talk) 13:53, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Ancestry templates
GM, have not heard back from any of my template nerds so I'm not even sure if they've checked their user talk page yet. I had tried for a half an hour the other day and could not for the life of me figure out what has happened to the template on Leopold's article. When I have time later today, I'll tinker around for a bit and see if there is anything else I can do. --Caponer (talk) 13:53, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Archduke Franz Salvator, Prince of Tuscany
GM, I was unable to find his entire baptismal name at any of the sites I regularly use as sources. It was not listed at any of the Habsburg websites, either. Have you tried making a post at the Royals Portal Forum? One of the forum's users would mostly likely know it. Thanks! --Caponer (talk) 18:48, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Princess Helena Adelaide of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg
Good morning GM! I just noticed your edit to Princess Helena Adelaide of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. Princes and princesses of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg other than the reigning Duke of Schleswig-Holstein (now known as Prince of Schleswig-Holstein), are known as "Prince/ss XXXXX of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg." While the title of the head of the house was modified, the title of non-reigning princes and princesses did not and so they are "stuck with" all four hyphenated placenames in their title. --Caponer (talk) 15:55, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Clean-up
Traditionally, the order usually follows:
- Ancestry template
- References (internal citations cited)
- External links
- Succession box
- Stub templates
I'm sure there is a proper order codified somewhere on Misplaced Pages, but I've found that the above sequence is replicated often without issue or debate. --Caponer (talk) 19:57, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
