Hi, no worries it's kinda easy ;). The Edit Notice (which appears when you edit the page) works by creating ] and ]. That should then work automatically :). My templates are simply transcluded at the top of the page. There's a trick though: since I wanted something pretty, their code is hidden in the "please add your comments at the bottom of the page" box at the top (which in fact points to ]). eBaum's World
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to eBaum's World, did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. November 2008
Welcome to Misplaced Pages, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Misplaced Pages is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Miley Cyrus appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. NrDg 23:08, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Miley Cyrus, are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop. Consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. -MBK004 00:10, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Hafnium, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. NrDg 03:10, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Seriously, this user's edits on chemical elements seem ok - at least those on einsteinium and hafnium. Nergaal (talk) 03:21, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did at Californium, you will be blocked from editing. A new name 2008 (talk) 13:03, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for reverting your recent experiment with the page Praseodymium. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. In the future, please do not experiment on article pages; instead, use the sandbox. Thank you. A new name 2008 (talk) 13:07, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to Antimony. If you vandalize Misplaced Pages again, you will be blocked from editing. A new name 2008 (talk) 13:17, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
HSV Hamburg/Handball
HSV Handball is NOT the name of the club (see: http://www.hsvhandball.com/de/verein/verein/). The only correct name is "HSV Hamburg". Please do not change it back again! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.102.132.158 (talk) 17:09, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Test A
Thank you for experimenting with Misplaced Pages. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. JamieS93 00:37, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hydrogen2.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Hydrogen2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:23, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Geographical places
Hi just a heads up as I can see you are new to the process. Don't waste your time placing verifiable geographical articles (particularly when they have articles on at least 5 other wikipedias) at AFD because 99.9% of the time it results in a WP:SNOWBALL keep. I'll be the first to admit that there a thousands of geography stubs on here needing development but we are a working progress. Its best to help adding infoboxes and adding infoboxes yourself as it is inevitable that real world places, however limited the article will be kept. Hope you enjoy editing. Count Blofeld 21:18, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I closed the AfD nom. It was incomplete, and Geographical articles are inherantly notable. Please take the issue of length to the talk page first, and if it is determined this is a permastub, nominate. If you need any more help ask me. ~the editorofthewiki ~ 21:51, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 21:36, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Block
You have been temporarily blocked from editing Misplaced Pages as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. Image copyright problem with Image:Video Game Controller.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Video Game Controller.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 08:21, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Windows XP Desktop.png
Thank you for uploading Image:Windows XP Desktop.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Re: Templates
Hi, no worries it's kinda easy ;). The Edit Notice (which appears when you edit the page) works by creating User talk:Lucasbfr/Editnotice and User:Lucasbfr/Editnotice. That should then work automatically :). My templates are simply transcluded at the top of the page. There's a trick though: since I wanted something pretty, their code is hidden in the "please add your comments at the bottom of the page" box at the top (which in fact points to User talk:Lucasbfr/.-!**!-.\). You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Windows XP. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. AussieLegend (talk) 13:09, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
