Needham B. Broughton was wealthy man of the city of Raleigh in North Carolina. Broughton was a large contributer and supporter of the Wake County Public Schools. Needham B. Broughton High School was named in his honor. Broughton is burried in the Historic Oakwood Cemetery of downtown Raleigh.
