Philosophical Logic
Why did you delete this article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Philogo (talk • contribs)
- Philosophical logic is a blue link for me.... --MZMcBride (talk) 00:31, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Philosophical logic is a blue link therefore you deleted Philosophical Logic do you mean?--Philogo (talk) 02:04, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I'll use you as a guinea pig. The deletion summary includes two links, the first of which is to WP:CSD#G8 which discusses why the page was deleted. After reading the reason given there, it likely makes more sense why there's a red link in the deletion summary. Which part of the deletion summary caused you confusion? --MZMcBride (talk) 21:47, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- I do not recall seeing any reasons in a deletion summary. I did click on a link or two trying to find same but to no avail (perhaps I lacked diligence) so I thought it best to ask the ed concerned. My eyes are up when a page I watch is deleted, you understand. --Philogo (talk) 01:03, 23 February 2009 (UTC) PS Hullo, guess what, Philosophical Logic is now blue again! What's the wiki-policy on these capitalisation issues? Should the article with the wrong capitalisation be (a) redirected to the one with the right capitalisation or (b) deleted?--Philogo (talk) 01:12, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Redirects for capitalization are fine. --MZMcBride (talk) 01:13, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

My secret page.
You deleted my secret page, but I'm pretty sure that people are allowed to have them. Why was it so neccessary to delete it and can it be restored now? CrashGordon94 (talk) 08:28, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

- Actually, this is a perfect example of IAR in practice. Incidentally, a discussion about this was launched here: Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard#MZMcBride and deletion –xeno (talk) 14:21, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up, xeno. --MZMcBride (talk) 18:41, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. Consensus seems to be forming around undeleting and mass-MFD'ing... Care to do the needful? (Or want I should) –xeno (talk) 20:32, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Batch restorations and batch MFDs are gross. Commented at the AN discussion again. I personally won't be batch restoring or batching MFDing anything. As I said there, individual MFDs for individual pages if the user wishes seem reasonable, though. --MZMcBride (talk) 21:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- To be honest I don't really have a well-formed opinion about these, I was just grep'ing the data. Though now there's calls for your head, I might extend to you the same advice you gave me once upon a time... =) –xeno (talk) 21:58, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Recent deletion
Yeah I'm cool about the deletion as it was pointless and quite hard to find, however two things:
- You didn't find the actual hidden page as it was the arrow page, so ha!
- Do you still want the barnstar? If you do please say on my talk page
See you. 'The Ninjalemming'' 17:19, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- No, no need for a barnstar. :-) --MZMcBride (talk) 18:40, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Secret pages
Why did you delete my secret pages? Contribute to Misplaced Pages more? I contribute to Misplaced Pages all the time! It's okay to have a secret page, what you just did makes no sense. – J U M P G U R U 18:24, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oh by the way, "o hai, i haz found ur sekrit page!" just makes you sound like a jerk, no offense. – J U M P G U R U 18:28, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

- Where? Please indicate where this policy were "discussed". Why not at least notify the user prior, if you don't, it's disruptive. Now data I had is gone, thanks to you without reason or warnings given. Are you an administrator? Please reply. Mjpresson (talk) 20:24, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Misplaced Pages:Miscellany for deletion/Secret pages and an WP:AN/I thread somewhere. Yes, I'm an administrator. (Only administrators can delete pages.) --MZMcBride (talk) 21:54, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- I am not sure that there is a consensus that all such pages should be deleted, and certainly this should not be done without a warning. In any event, I trust that the issue of data being lost can be resolved through e-mailing the user the page on request? Newyorkbrad (talk) 22:24, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Most certainly. Special:EmailUser/MZMcBride should still work. --MZMcBride (talk) 22:25, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Excuse me
So I don't get to dscuss this. I do contribute to the encyclopedia. Look at my last 200 edits in the last 4 days. A secret page is low maintenance. I've had one person every other month at least. Do you have something horrible in life that makes you go round just to find a little bit of fun that never actually does any damage. Chubbennaitor 18:38, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

- Can you put your time to the encyclopedia. Talking about me not contributing. You are going round removing things that did nothing.. I'll re-iterate - did and does nothing. They've been around for years on end and I've found no problem. It's like a guestbook but does less. If guestbooks are aloud then why not something which is even easier to ignore by not going out of your way. If this is all you do without a fair trial then I should report you to the administration board. They aren't appropriate but not banned. No other person who gives up there time to something similar to you which actually contributes to WP have never had a problem. Chubbennaitor 18:48, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Deleted page
Hey, I was just wondering why you had deleted my page. The reason you gave did not seem to be valid. Care to elaborate? Thanks! :) Montgomery' 39 (talk) 20:19, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Disruption of site
Please respond to my inserted query in the above entry, and what is your Misplaced Pages status? I need to regain my data taken by you.Mjpresson (talk) 20:26, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Responded above. --MZMcBride (talk) 21:54, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- The consensus was to evaluate each page on an individual basis. You're mass deleting. I had important content on my hidden page. I'm 50 years old and do not use WP as a "game". As an administrator I would expect more (or even some) understanding of policies and communication with the editors whose data you are intending to dispose of, and request you do me that courtesy before vandalizing my (or another editors) userspace and contributing to a negative environment that you yourself created. Mjpresson (talk) 22:29, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, my apologies. Yours was sort of mixed in with the others. You commented out all of the content which I interpreted as a request to delete the page (CSD G7). (In the future, links to the affected pages are really helpful so I know which page you're referring to. :-) --MZMcBride (talk) 22:35, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Secret pages
Hi, it's me. Why did you delete my six Secret Page pages? I thought Misplaced Pages had an unlimited amount of room, and I've seen many other users with multiple pages for others to search for to find their secret pages. And were you trying to mock everyone who had tried to find it? Tezkag72私のはかい 22:16, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Six pages? Good grief. --MZMcBride (talk) 22:25, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Sekrit page
I honestly don't care that this was deleted. They were made a long time ago, and have been disused for ages now. What I do care about is your attitude over it, which I quite frankly thought was pretty poor coming from an admin. Like I said, I could hardly care less about the deletion, but did you honestly have to be such a jerk about it? Even a friendly heads up or summary would have been nice, but instead you just blitzkrieg deletion and incivility across Misplaced Pages. Jeez... and people wonder why admins carry less respect these days when this kind of thing happens... --.:Alex:. 22:26, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
