| Hey man. Firstly, I believe the word 'respectively' belongs because the exclusive Pokémon are listed in order by generation. Also, you make a good point about its relevance. I just thought since this idea of creating a rare Pokémon became a precedent, it was relevant to put this fact there. What do you think? RE:SM64DS box art caption
That's true that the character images are available from the wikilinks, however, I've found that minimizing the need for the reader to leave the article is more beneficial to them. When I first started editing, I tried to make captions as short as possible. After a while, I noticed it was actually a chance to give the reader more information, and a better description was less ambiguous than the short ones I was doing.
Basically, because the image is acceptable fair use of the cover art, it isn't going anywhere. So why not use it help give the reader more context and minimize the amount of clicking they have to do? I'd much rather have them stay and read the whole article rather than jump back and forth with the possibility of not coming back.
To answer your question about other cover arts, sometimes other cover arts don't really provide much information so a lengthy caption is not needed. Myst V: End of Ages doesn't even have a caption, probably because the scenery, though very nice looking, doesn't add much extra context. Plus, it's probably one of those things someone did a couple times and others just copied it—I know that's what I based many of my first edits on, including the cover art for Kingdom Hearts. But that doesn't mean it's the best idea for every cover art. (Guyinblack25 14:50, 10 March 2009 (UTC))
