:Hi -- I'd like to explain what is going on here, because it may be confusing. "Chips Wiki" looks like Misplaced Pages, but it's actually very different, because it doesn't show statements about copyright anywhere. Legally, that means that everything there is copyrighted and cannot be used without permission, except short quotations. |
Note that ''even if'' Chips Wiki had the same rules as Misplaced Pages, it would be necessary, when copying an article, to attribute it to the place you got it. But because of the real copyright status, it isn't legally possible to copy that material at all without getting written permission from whoever wrote it. Regards, ] (]) 20:00, 12 April 2009 (UTC) |

Fair use rationale for Image:KnightofthePhoenix.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KnightofthePhoenix.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Knight of the Phoenix.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:KnightofthePhoenix.jpg. The copy called Image:KnightofthePhoenix.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 15:13, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:KnightofthePhoenix.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:KnightofthePhoenix.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI 01:28, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:OA-559 Dodge Challenger.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:OA-559 Dodge Challenger.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:16, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
References on Knight of the Phoenix (Knight Rider episode)
Hi, you seem to be new to wikipedia so you may not be aware of the reliable sources requirement for all articles. I don't want to get in a revert war with you over the no citations banner I placed on the page but if citations can't be found the page will probably get deleted. If you haven't already maybe you should check out this guideline WP:RS, it might be helpful. Mad031683 17:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
OA-5599 (1970 Dodge Challenger R/T)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article OA-5599 (1970 Dodge Challenger R/T), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. -- Agamemnon2 (talk) 22:24, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Tv Pilot Starsky and Hutch.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Tv Pilot Starsky and Hutch.jpg.
Fruita Mansana
A tag has been placed on Fruita Mansana, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dawn bard (talk) 17:29, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Zebra Three
A tag has been placed on Zebra Three, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 01:53, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Zebra Three
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Zebra Three, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Zebra Three. ukexpat (talk) 02:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
January 2008
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Zebra Three. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 02:31, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Original Starsky Camaro.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Original Starsky Camaro.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Fair use rationale for Image:Zebra Three.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Zebra Three.jpg.
Knight of the Phoenix (Knight Rider episode)
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}
" template to the article Knight of the Phoenix (Knight Rider episode), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not and Misplaced Pages:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PhobiaPoster.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:PhobiaPoster.jpg.
Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 00:46, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Some of My Lies Are True (Sooner or Later)
An editor has nominated Some of My Lies Are True (Sooner or Later), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Some of My Lies Are True (Sooner or Later) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 14:03, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Chrissy's Date
A tag has been placed on Chrissy's Date requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Fair use rationale for Image:Tv_sesame_street_fat_blue_house.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Tv_sesame_street_fat_blue_house.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Three's Christmas
A tag has been placed on Three's Christmas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alexius08 (talk) 16:36, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Removal of tags from articles
Hi - I've noticed that you have repeatedly removed unsourced, plot, and notability tags, among others, from several articles without explanation. These tags are put in place to flag the articles for improvement; perhaps your removal of the tags wouldn't keep getting reverted if you explained why you thought the tags were unnecessary. Please let me know on my talk page if you have any questions. --Dawn bard (talk) 19:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Edit warring and WP:3RR
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Three's Christmas. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Please stop assuming ownership of articles. - Hi -- I'd like to explain what is going on here, because it may be confusing. "Chips Wiki" looks like Misplaced Pages, but it's actually very different, because it doesn't show statements about copyright anywhere. Legally, that means that everything there is copyrighted and cannot be used without permission, except short quotations. Note that even if Chips Wiki had the same rules as Misplaced Pages, it would be necessary, when copying an article, to attribute it to the place you got it. But because of the real copyright status, it isn't legally possible to copy that material at all without getting written permission from whoever wrote it. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 20:00, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
