Image source problem with Image:Xblalogo.jpg

If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

I'm just curios why you changed the Image:Xbox-live-logo.png to Image:Xboxlive_logo.jpg as it seems to me that the new image is inferior to the old one. Template:WPBannerMeta
Just letting you know that WPBannerMeta is standardising project templates. What was wrong with my edits to {{Xboxp}}? If you didn't want the full quality scale it get be turned off by not enabling a switch. With the WikiProject banners using the META template, it means we can easily update every banner by one edit to the main template, instead of going through every banner and manually doing it. Around 500 banners already use the META template. —Borgarde 01:58, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

I changed the licence of to Non-free use rationale, because the bigger part most of the image shows a box with copyrighted covers. I also changed the licence to avid that this image gets uploaded to Wikimedia Commons (which would be done if it only tagged with PD-self), because it would get deleted immediately for being a derevativ work.

The 2nd logo (barnstar based) won't run into any copyright issues because the power symbol is in the public domain and simply changing the color or adding effects to PD'ed symbols or text does not make it liable for copyright issues. Lost Planet 2 Boxart
You may not understand but the box art is being used as a neutral image because i t may be released on PS3 because it is multiplatform. I under stand it's your image thats been replaced but that is no reason for you to add back the image.-- Gears of War 2 (NGG) 22:22, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

File:Wwgameslogo.png is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Nuvola apps kbackgammon engine.png. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Misplaced Pages, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Misplaced Pages, in this case: ]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. Copyright problems with File:Softballplayer.jpg
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Softballplayer.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at File talk:Softballplayer.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
